Homeline

Keep your banking apps off other people's Wi-Fi.

Homeline moves the apps you choose to mobile data on any Wi-Fi that isn't your home network, by itself. At home everything uses your Wi-Fi as usual. There is nothing to switch on and off.

Which network is the phone on? Pick one:

Not home: Office-WiFi2 apps stay off this Wi-Fi and use mobile data.
  • BBankSet to MobileMobile data
  • CCrypto walletSet to MobileMobile data
  • MMessagesSet to Wi-FiWi-Fi
  • VVideoSet to Wi-FiWi-Fi

Bank is running on mobile data"Office-WiFi" isn't your home network. Homeline runs this app over mobile data instead of Wi-Fi.

Set it up once, then forget it

Setup takes two minutes. After that Homeline runs in the background, and you stop thinking about which network you're on.

  1. Mark your home Wi-Fi

Pick it from the network you're on, the ones you used before, the ones nearby, or type its name.

  2. Choose the apps

Set each app to Wi-Fi or Mobile. Mobile apps never use a Wi-Fi that isn't home.

  3. Turn it on and leave it

A notification shows Homeline is running, and tells you when you open a Mobile app away from home.

Why not other people's Wi-Fi?

At a café, a hotel or the office, someone else set up the network you join. Your bank already uses encryption; Homeline goes one step further and keeps that traffic off the network entirely.

  • The network owner sees where you connect

Even without reading the content, the network shows which bank you reach and when.

  • A fake network can wear a real name

Anyone can start a network called "Cafe_Guest". To Homeline, every network except your home is a stranger.

  • Nothing changes at home

On your home Wi-Fi all apps use Wi-Fi, and your mobile data isn't touched.

  • No mobile data, no fallback

If mobile data is off while you're on a foreign Wi-Fi, your Mobile apps don't slip onto the Wi-Fi. They stay offline, and Homeline tells you.

Questions

Why does my phone say "VPN"?

Android only lets an app send another app's traffic over a different network through a VPN. Homeline's VPN runs entirely on your phone: only the apps you set to Mobile go into it, only while you're on a Wi-Fi that isn't home, and their traffic leaves straight through your own mobile data. It never passes through a server.

Does my traffic go through you?

No. Homeline has no server and no account, and contains no ads or analytics. Your settings stay on your phone.

What if my bank warns that a VPN is on?

Some banking apps show a warning whenever any VPN is active. Homeline's VPN only runs while you're on a Wi-Fi that isn't home; at home and on mobile data alone it's off. If you get a warning, write to us and we'll look at it together.

Why does it ask for location?

Android only shows Wi-Fi names to apps with location access. Homeline never reads or stores your location; it uses the permission only to see the name of the network you're on. Without it, every Wi-Fi counts as not home, so it stays on the safe side.

Does it drain the battery or my data?

No. It uses mobile data only while you're on a Wi-Fi that isn't home, and only for the apps you set to Mobile. Everything else stays on Wi-Fi.

Is it in English?

Not yet. The app is in Turkish for now.

Why isn't it on the Play Store?

For now we distribute it directly from this page. The file is signed with Veyex's own key, and every new version lands here.

Install

  1. Tap Download for Android on your phone and open the file.

Android asks once to allow installs from your browser; allow it.

  2. Allow location with "Allow all the time".

Needed to see the Wi-Fi name; your location is never read.

  3. Turn on usage access.

So Homeline can tell you when a Mobile app opens, and show each app's data use.

  4. Mark your home Wi-Fi, set your bank to Mobile and turn Homeline on.

Android asks once to allow the VPN connection.

  5. On Samsung phones, set Homeline's battery use to Unrestricted.

Otherwise the phone may stop it in the background.
