In short
Homeline collects no personal data and sends nothing anywhere. It has no server, no account, and no ads, cookies or analytics.
What stays on your phone
The Wi-Fi names you mark as home, the Wi-Fi names you connect to while Homeline is running, and the list of apps you set to Mobile are kept only on your phone, in Homeline's own settings file. Uninstalling the app deletes them.
Permissions
- Location: Android only shows Wi-Fi names to apps with location access. Homeline never reads or stores your location.
- VPN: to send the traffic of your Mobile apps over your mobile data. The VPN runs on your phone; traffic doesn't pass through our server or anyone else's, it leaves straight through your own mobile data.
- Usage access: to notice when a Mobile app opens and show you a notification, and to show each app's Wi-Fi and mobile data use in the last 24 hours. This information never leaves the phone.
- Notifications: to show that Homeline is running and when it moves an app to mobile data.
Homeline's own connection
There is one exception: the optional "check exit routes" button in the app. If you tap it, Homeline connects to ipinfo.io once over Wi-Fi and once over mobile data, and shows which operator the internet sees. That request is covered by ipinfo.io's own privacy terms. If you don't tap it, Homeline connects nowhere.
